The Wetumpka High School Band has a long history of excellence dating back to its days as the Elmore County "Big Blue" under the direction of Truman Welch. It later transformed, under the direction of Milton Welch, into what is now known as "The Pride of the Tribe". Our ensembles strive for superior performances whether it is on a football field or seated on a concert hall stage. We offer performance opportunities in Marching Band, Color Guard, Majorettes, Percussion Ensemble, and our Symphonic and Concert Bands. The band is currently under the direction of Mr. Jason Warnix since 2008.
